Moorestown Township

Lenola Town Center Signage

Introducing New Signage to Welcome Visitors and Highlight Community History.

The Challenge:

Create gateway signage at the westernmost edge of the project area which will welcome residents to the Lenola Area, aiding in the branding of a special place.

How We Helped:

Moorestown Township won a grant through the 2016 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) to improve multimodal connectivity in the Lenola Town Center area. McCormick Taylor was selected by Moorestown Township to perform streetscape engineering design services, which included wayfinding and historical signage. Our Creative team worked with the Township to develop a gateway welcome sign and two interpretive signs designed to convey the history of the Lenola Neighborhood and Pennsuaken Creek. Using historical photos and images, the signs convey the character and progress of the neighborhood over the years. The signs incorporate the existing Moorestown Township logo and a color palette that complements the area. McCormick Taylor worked closely with the Township, sign vendor and contractor to ensure that the signage was installed with the utmost quality. They were strategically located in high-traffic areas to optimize exposure and educate visitors about the surrounding area. Conceptual wayfinding signs were also designed for the Township to potentially produce in the future.
