SEPTA OIG Honors Commitment to Transparency and Accountability in Design of Reporting-centric Website.
The Challenge:
Develop an easy-to-use site that allows OIG staff to share reports and information with the public.
How We Helped:
The Office of Inspector General is committed to ensuring that SEPTA is a responsible steward of public funds, and that their 10,000 employees, vendors, and contractors provide honest services. After collaborating closely with the Inspector General and her staff, the development team focused on creating a user-friendly website that included information about how to submit a complaint, the mission of the OIG, staff bios, audit and investigative reports, frequently asked questions, resources, and career opportunities. A secure form was embedded that allows individuals to report wrongdoing anonymously. Reports are published regularly that include the office’s activities such as audits, investigations, and outcomes. McCormick Taylor collaborated closely with OIG staff throughout design, development, and training, at which time OIG staff learned how to update and maintain the website post-launch.
