SEPTA's Planning Website Provides a Platform to Promote New Initiatives.
The Challenge:
In just one month, develop an accessible, mobile-friendly, and easily edited replacement website that replicates the look and feel of SEPTA's hardcopy Strategic Plan.
How We Helped:
To accommodate the fast-tracked delivery schedule, the normally consecutive project phases of Discovery, Design, Development, and Deployment occurred simultaneously. Our team recommended a content management system and base website theme that provided a canvas for Development to begin rapidly. In lieu of typical web design documentation such as wireframes and prototypes, SEPTA's hardcopy strategic plan acted as the official guide for the new site's look and feel. The development team focused intently on translating elements of the letter size “print” document into a responsive and accessible web format without sacrificing brand continuity. The new site was launched on a subdomain of SEPTA.org to provide a dedicated hub for the Planning Department to share their goals, projects, and progress with the public.
